Search Queries
A name or location entered in a search tool goes directly to the outside provider operating that tool. The provider processes the request and returns its result; we do not retain or log those search terms.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email may be kept long enough to answer and manage the exchange. It remains within our organization unless disclosure is legally required.
Data We Gather Automatically
Our servers automatically receive basic technical facts whenever a page loads:

- The site that sent you here, if any

No Criminal-Record Data on File
This site neither builds nor sells a database of personal criminal records. It explains how to request Fremont County material from the sheriff, Iowa District Court, Iowa DCI Records and Identification Section, and Iowa Sex Offender Registry. We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor data is not assembled into a consumer report or a record about another person.
Official public-record access is governed by Iowa Code chapter 22, while Iowa Code section 692.2 controls dissemination of state criminal-history data. Those laws apply to official custodians, not to a visitor profile held by this private site.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes. Their privacy policies, retention periods, and sharing rules govern submitted information, and we cannot control those practices. Read the applicable partner policy before searching.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to the Fremont County Sheriff, Iowa court portals, state agencies, legal-aid resources, or outside tools. Once a visitor follows one, the destination's policy applies. Review it before providing personal details.
Some advertising providers may track activity across websites for targeted advertising. That processing occurs on their systems.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal data is not sold. Limited information may be available to:
- Search partners that handle queries you run on our site
- Analytics services we use to track traffic and performance
- Ad networks that place ads on our pages
- Law enforcement or government bodies when a valid legal order requires it
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable, standard safeguards protect collected data, but no internet service can promise perfect security or guarantee that a breach will never occur.
Users Under 18
The site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone younger than 18. A verified report of such data will be addressed through deletion.
Your Data Rights
Iowa Code chapter 714 and other applicable Iowa consumer-protection and privacy rules may provide added rights depending on the facts and a user's residence. At a minimum, you can:

- Have us fix information that is wrong
- Request that we erase your data
